Red Stapler Records released TPS Reports Volume One (RSR006) - compilation CD highlighting the diversity and vitality of the Washington DC area underground music scene.  As with many great ideas, the project came into being after a late-late night discussion about the local DC music scene. Chronicling the local seen and the diversity of its artists seemed a daunting task, but with the seed planted word was put out and submissions begin coming in.  Pulling from over 50 CD submissions (yes, CDs!),  RSR then had the difficult job of narrowing the track listing down to just 16 tracks.  The project took a year to complete. In October 2004 the album was released. The goal of TPS Reports Volume One is to promote the Washington DC area music scene. Red Stapler Records is committed to, and strongly encourages the support of local music.  Building a community of artists and like-minded musicians has always been our goal and maybe soon, we'll see a Volume Two!
